Omnibus 2023

  • The Omnibus bill passed in December 2023 spent 1.7 trillion dollars and consisted of 4,155 pages including earmaks (basically local pet projects) which Republicans agreed to keep the earmarks with a 158-52 vote in November of 2022

  • In the Omnibus bill there was 410 million allocated towards border security for Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Oman 

  • 65 million for restoration of pacific salmon populations

  • 3 million shall be to carry out the pollinator-friendly practices on roadways and highways (Bee friendly Highways)

  • 5 million to examine the impacts of culverts, roads, and bridges on threatened or endangered salmon populations

  • 65.7 million for the international fisheries commission 

  • 575 million for family planning/reproductive health including in areas where population growth threatens biodiversity or endangered species​

  • 3.6 million for the Michelle Obama Trail

  • 477k for Equity Instute in Rhode Island for antiracist virtual labs 

  • 3 million for the LGBTQ+ museum in NYC

  • 1.2 million for services for DACA recipients at San Diego Community College District, San Diego California

  • 4.1 million in various career programs for one of the richest counties in the US (Fairfax, VA)

  • 524.4 million for carrying out section 301 and title IV of the PHS act with respect to minority health and health disparities research

  • 300k for the continuous plankton recorder survey

  • Of the funds appropriated under title III of this act up to 200 million may be made available for the Gender Equity and Equality Action Fund

  • Funds appropriated by title III of this Act shall be made available for programs to promote democracy and for gender programs in Pakistan

  • 15.2 million for the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program Trust Fund a 15% increase from the prior year

  • 335 million to prepare for or respond to an influenza pandemic, which 300million shall be available until expended for activities including the development and purchase of vaccine, antivirals, necessary medical supplies, diagnostics and other surveillance tools 

  • 5.7 million to understand the "domestic radicalization phenomenon

  • 1 million for gun violence research 

  • 2.63 billion for US attorneys with an emphasis on January 6 prosecutions and domestic terrorism cases 

  • 26 million for the House of Representatives Office of Diversity and Inclusion 

  • 750k for the translatin coalition to provide work force development programs and supportive service for transgendered, gender nonconforming and intersex immigrant women in Los Angeles 

  • 1.2 million for LGBTQIA+ pride centers 

  • 1 million for Zora's house in Ohio a coworking and community space for women and gender expansive people of color 

  • 750k for LGBT and gender nonconforming housing in Albany, New York

  • 2 million for Great Blacks in wax museum in Baltimore, MD 

  • 856K for LGBT Center in New York 

  • 2 million for MLK labor in Washington an affiliate of the AFL-CIO that expelled Seattle police officers from union ranks

  • 956k for the Equity Incubator at the Universities at Shady Grove in MD

  • $791,200 for equitable energy resilience and EV Infrastructure in Sonoma, California 

  • There was over 15 billion dollars in earmarks in the 2023 omnibus bill​

  • in 2022 we sent Ukraine over $113 Billion in supplies and funds

          Budgets for Various Programs and Departments 

  • Department Of Education $68 billion

  • ATF $1.5 billion

  • IRS $12.3 billion

  • Department of Defense $162.2 billion

  • Department of Homeland Security $56.7 billion with an additional 19.7 billion for Disaster relief fund

  • Department of transportation 251.53 billion distributed among its 11 sub-components 

  • FBI 10.8 billion

  • UN Budget for 2021 was more then 12 Billion between the regular UN requirements and the many UN programs we fund including 28% of the UN security Budget making up about 22% of the entire Budget of the UN and it's programs ( In 2018 it was reported the US spent 14.1 Billion on the UN President Trump Decreased this amount but cutting some of the donations to some UN programs however Biden restored some of these donations to UN Programs and reentered the US in some UN organizations that President trump removed the US from such as WHO

  • Foreign Aid 61.7 billion was approved in the OMNIBUS 2023 Bill roughly a 6% increase from the previous year
